We are planning themes that will connect with the plenaries, workshops, skillshares, excursions, and entertainment held each day.
On Wednesday 8th July SoS will introduce the overarching theme "Nourishing Our Roots," addressing ideas of networking and indigenous sovereignty.
The second day, Thursday 9th July investigates Stories of Change. Personal narratives influence our perspectives and can inspire us to make change.
The morning plenary and subsequent skillshares for Friday 10th July will address Global perspectives, awareness and action with a series of inspirational speakers. Art workshops, including music, visual design and drama will also keep with the global theme.
Saturday 11th July is all about skillsharing and resilience. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn practical skills, whether you prefer permaculture gardening, want to hear advice on managing burnout, collaborating with others in a creative expression project or participate in activist skillsharing.
Our last day, Sunday 12th July is for Actions towards transition. After a information filled week, this is the day to form accountability networks. Your inspiration serves as a motivation to make a difference in your community.
